I've had a very similar crash in the ...oh damn. I've had a very similar crash in the past. I was actually riding on a sidewalk (before I was a real cyclist) on the way home from work. I went into the grass to get out of the way for someone, then tried to come back on and hit the edge. I lost control and went flying over my handlebars. Two things made that extra magical: 1) it was along a busy street 2) my handlebar hooked into the wasteband of my shorts on the way down and actually pantsed me.
